Storm Water Overflow Screens
Advanced Storm Water Overflow Screening Solutions
The HUBER ROTAMAT® RoK1 and RoK2 are advanced stormwater overflow screens designed to retain solids at stormwater discharge points, preventing debris from entering natural water bodies during and after storm events. Both models feature self-cleaning mechanisms and robust stainless steel construction, ensuring efficient operation and low maintenance.

Both screens are engineered to operate automatically during storm conditions, activating as water levels rise and deactivating once levels recede. Their two-dimensional screening design ensures high solids retention, while the continuous automatic cleaning mechanism maintains optimal performance without manual intervention. These features make the RoK1 and RoK2 reliable and efficient solutions for managing stormwater discharges and protecting natural watercourses from pollution.
Applications
Stormwater and Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control
Prevents solids and debris from entering natural water bodies during storm events, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Retention Tank and Wastewater Treatment Plant Protection
Retains solids at overflow points, reducing pollutant loads and improving treatment efficiency.
Urban and Industrial Drainage Systems
Enhances stormwater management in municipal and industrial settings by intercepting solids before discharge.
Refurbishment of Existing Infrastructure
Easily integrated into existing overflow weirs and retention systems to improve solids separation without major modifications.
Benefits
High Solids Retention & Low Hydraulic Resistance
Efficient two-dimensional screening captures solids while allowing high flow rates with minimal headloss.
Automatic Self-Cleaning & Low Maintenance
Integrated brush and screw mechanism ensures continuous cleaning, reducing manual intervention and maintenance.
Flexible & Reliable Operation
Can be installed on either side of the overflow weir and operates efficiently even at low flow rates without blockages.
Durable & Environmentally Friendly
Robust stainless steel construction ensures long-term reliability while preventing pollution in receiving waters.

HUBER Storm Screen ROTAMAT RoK1
The ROTAMAT RoK1 screen is an effective solution for solids retention at stormwater discharge points, suitable for both new installations and refurbishment projects. It is a fine screen designed to handle high flow rates with minimal hydraulic resistance. Its two-dimensional screening system ensures excellent solids retention while an automatic, gentle cleaning mechanism maintains efficiency.
The RoK1 screen is installed horizontally on the downstream side of the overflow weirs. It features a perforated half-cylinder with an integrated screw flight. As stormwater flows through the perforated section, solids are captured while a rotating screw with an attached brush continuously cleans the screen and moves the retained screenings toward the end of the trough.
At the trough’s end, the screenings are either returned to the sewer and transported to the wastewater treatment plant or removed via a cross conveyor for disposal. During storm events, the screen activates automatically and operates without manual intervention, ensuring continuous performance.

HUBER Storm Screen ROTAMAT RoK2
The HUBER Storm Screen ROTAMAT RoK2 is a highly effective solution for both new installations and refurbishment projects. It belongs to a class of fine screens designed to handle high flow rates while maintaining minimal hydraulic resistance. Its two-dimensional screening system ensures excellent solids retention, complemented by automatic and gentle cleaning of the perforated plate.
The RoK2 screen is installed horizontally on the upstream side of the overflow weirs. It features a perforated half-cylinder with an integrated screw flight. As stormwater flows through the perforated half-pipe, solids are captured, while a rotating screw equipped with a brush continuously cleans the screen and transports the separated solids toward the lateral discharge point.
Captured screenings remain on the polluted water side of the screen and are carried along with the wastewater flow to the treatment plant. During storm conditions, the screen activates automatically and operates independently, ensuring continuous performance without manual intervention.
The HUBER Storm Screen ROTAMAT® RoK2 can be installed on either the left or right side of the weir overflow to accommodate varying hydraulic conditions. Even at low flow rates, the full length of the screen basket remains engaged, ensuring efficient solids removal without blockages. This design maximises separation performance while minimising headloss, making it a reliable and efficient solution for stormwater management.
